OUTREACH & MISSION

Part of our lives should demonstrate our love for God and our neighbor.

When Jesus was asked what was the most important of the commandments, he said without hesitation: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39).

Global Involvement

  • Jews for Jesus
Jews for Jesus was founded to innovate new approaches to effectively engage Jewish people with the Jewish Messiah, and that same passion and dedication that ignited them still drives them today; the methods may change, but the message does not. In the 1960s, most of the resources available for Jewish outreach were outdated and only engaged a small segment of the community. Moishe Rosen sought to change that, and his efforts caught the attention of the media. “Jews for Jesus” began as a slogan coined by the media, but it soon turned into the rallying cry of a movement. The concept wasn’t new—after all, Jewish people had been believing in Jesus since, well, Jesus! But this small cadre of Jewish men and women was so passionate about the life-altering hope they’d discovered in Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, that they began employing new and creative ways to share the news on the streets and college campuses of San Francisco. In 1973, this organization was established and has expanded globally and now operates in more than a dozen cities around the world. FPCL has supported Jews for Jesus for many years and has had the opportunity to have speakers from that organization come and share the Gospel from a Jewish perspective. • Missionary in the Middle East
Our Missionary’s passion is to teach and equip students who will serve as Christian leaders in the Arabic-speaking world.  They serve with high security concerns so no information should be posted about him on any website.  This is for their safety as well as that of the people with whom he works.

    UNTO Water Filters

Here are just a few examples of why water filters are so important:
    • When hurricanes, earthquakes or other disasters strike, water filters provide immediate relief.
    • In places where wells cannot be drilled, water filters supply the only option for clean water.
    • For nomadic communities in arid conditions, water filters allow them to have clean water as they travel to seek pasture for their flocks.
    • As a way to reach the unreached, water filters help our teams build credibility in places where ministry is limited.
It costs just $8 a person to provide a family living in a hard-to-reach area with clean water through the gift of a water filter. Will you give now to provide access to safe, clean water and share the hope of Jesus? Give today! https://unto.com

    • Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County
People in Bucks County and all over the world partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With HFH’s help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
The Mission Committee will be collecting money during the year to help subsidize HFH projects within our community. Additionally, we have participated in Build Days, working alongside Habitat homeowners under the supervision of Habitat For Humanity crew leaders.

Thanks to your prayers our pilgrims that attended the Camino de Santiago “The Way to Saint James” trip walked for 145 kilometers between Ponferrada and Santiago de Compostela. Then on the second week they served at a hostel in Ligonde at La Fuente de Peregrino, housing and feeding other pilgrims on the journey.  See postings from the group on Facebook
