GROW
Want to connect with others and grow in your faith? Join a Growth Group!
Growth Groups are small groups of adults, who meet in homes or at church on a weekly basis to study God’s Word, share and support one another in their Christian lives. Multiple days, times, locations and studies are available so that you can choose what works best for you. We offer Growth Group sign ups for the Spring and Fall Semesters.
For more info on Growth Groups contact Donna DeMaria.
Welcome to our new members!
We are so blessed to welcome the newest members of First Pres of Levittown. They decided to take the Next Step in their faith journey and were received into our church family. Pictured here from left: Edmund DeMaria (Faith Companion John DeMaria), Danielle Hawthorne (Faith Companion Jane Moore), and Debbie Brucks (Faith Companion Keith Elton).
If you would like more information about joining FPCL, contact the church office at 215-945-8550 or email.
We would love to help you find the connection between your gifts, passion, and skills.
We call that connection “a calling.” Below are some ways that you could serve at First Presbyterian Church of Levittown.
Welcome and Hospitality
Everyone should feel welcome at church. At First Pres we believe that welcome begins in the parking lot. If it’s raining out you’ll probably find people with umbrellas to help out.
When a visitor reaches the main doors, we welcome them with a smile, direct them to the worship service they have come to attend, and provide them with a bulletin that shows songs, prayers and all that the person would need to participate fully in the worship service.
If the visitors have children, we help them to find the class where their infants would be cared for and where to find the class for their older children.
At the end of our 10:30 am service, all are invited to some coffee/tea and snacks and a time to meet others.
If you’re interested in this ministry, you would need the following skills:
- hold an umbrella
- smile
- lead someone to different parts of the building, including worship
- introductions
- directing people to the Fellowship Hall for coffee/tea and snacks
Audio/Video
Being part of our Audi-Video team is a form of leading worship. Through your work you capture the worship service offering it to someone unable to attend or someone looking to discover our church worship to experience it from their homes. The click of a mouse can help visual learners be engaged in a sermon and scripture.
During worship you display the lyrics our congregation uses to sing praises to God and work the sound board so that all who come into the church and all who view from home can hear the service.
Do you enjoy technology? Do you believe that anyone should be able to access our Sunday services? Then consider volunteering to help lead worship using the camera, audio console, and video console. We will offer personalized training in addition to the teaching videos found on YouTube.
Communication Ministry
In an age of constant communication, the church strives to be accessible to those who attend service in person but also to those unable to attend or who do not yet know our congregation. We offer to everyone our “virtual gifts” and engaging “apps” to share the Good News of Jesus and bring people closer to God.
Our team brings together the possibility of virtual worship, sharing stories from the life of our church on Facebook, Instagram, and other media platforms. We are looking for volunteers to lead our virtual presence in worship and other media.
