Session
The Session of our church is responsible for all matters that take place on in the church. It is made up of elders that participate in committees or teams.
The committees or teams bring projects to the entire Session for approval. New business ideas and issues are reviewed and voted on or assigned to a committee to determine solutions. The Senior Pastor is the moderator of session.
Elders are nominated and elected by the congregation of the church for a 3-year term position. The term can be re-elected for another 3 year-term after which the individual must take one year off.
Deacons
The Deacon office is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. It is the duty of Deacons to minister to those who are in need, sick, friendless or in distress. Deacons strive to do this with compassion and respect to those they minister to.

In our congregation, deacons are stewards of the money donated via your Deacons’ Fund envelopes on Deacon’s Sunday. This financial support goes to people in our congregation and to people passing through who need emergency assistance. This money has gone to lift people out of dire emergencies, or at other times it is used just to keep a struggling person afloat. In all cases deacons strive to be nonjudgmental and pray for discernment.
At other times when money is not what is needed deacons provide guidance, direction, prayer, a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. Deacons provide Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas food gifts, cookie trays, plants, etc. to our homebound people. Deacons also let them know they are cared for and loved, and are valuable members of our congregation, and the Body of Christ, via visits and cards through the year.
